A number of you have contacted the club to see how you can help in these unprecedented times. Firstly, we hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and well.

At Linlithgow Rose, we've had to make some difficult decisions recently to try and safeguard your club so we can all return to watching football at Prestonfield later this year.

To help safeguard your football club and to support the vulnerable in our community and nationally we're launching a campaign with our digital partner, Fanbase, called Show Your Colours. It focuses on

LEAN IN - and buy a ticket to our community challenge cup final. Whilst we can't deliver a gubbing to coronavirus at Prestonfield, much as we’d love to, we can all work together to help beat this thing over time.

If you've not used Fanbase before, Fanbase are our official secure digital platform partners and have been a great support to us since we joined forces.

Buying a digital ticket will mean a few things:
1. You’ll help to protect and prepare the club for life after coronavirus.
2. 10% of every ticket will go to AgeUK to help them support the elderly across the UK.
3. A further 10% will go to LINLITHGOW LINK who support some of the most vulnerable in our own community.
4. We'll be using our social media platforms to promote our amazing local businesses and support networks to over 6000 people.
5. Finally, we'll recognise ticket purchasers by rewarding you next season as a thank you. We're working through the details of how we'll do this but be assured we'll do what we can to say thank you.

HELP OUT - Show your colours and help your community

We're also asking you to post and share any positive community efforts by you and your loved ones by using the hashtag #showyourcolours and tag us @linlithgowrose on social media so we can see the positive stuff you’re doing!

Wear maroon and even better, wear any Linlithgow Rose kit you may have.

CLEAN UP - Follow advice and encourage others to do the same

Finally, make sure you keep your eye on the guidelines coming out from the NHS and the government. The best place to look is here: Stay at home & wash your hands regularly.

Please help us spread the word and forward onto other members of our amazing Linlithgow community.

It has been many years since our catchphrase “Hail the Gallant” has felt more appropriate – our thoughts are with you all as we brave this crisis together and we very much hope that all of you remain fit and well in the weeks ahead. Our health should be our priority at this time.

We have over the last few months been working hard to maintain and strengthen our links across the football, business and wider communities so we are very aware the current situation touches everybody’s lives in some way shape or form and we very much want to be at the forefront of bringing the feel good factor to the people of Linlithgow when it is safe to do so.

In accordance with the directive issued by the SFA, all footballing activity is currently suspended and we don’t yet know if the season will resume and if we will have to play our 13 remaining league fixtures which includes 8 home fixtures and a chance to bring in some much needed revenue especially as our last home fixture was on the 1st of February!

Against this backdrop and the in line with the Scottish Government’s advice for increased social distancing amongst the over 70’s we have also taken the decision to cancel well attended community social events such as bingo, dominoes and cabaret evenings run by the Social Club.

We are all in this together and, where we can, given the current position, we will do all we can to support the local community. For local businesses, as we have no football to report on for the foreseeable future we will devote our social media channels (Facebook circa 4,000 followers, Twitter circa 7,000 and our newly established Instagram with circa 400 followers) to advertising our local business sponsors and other local businesses to encourage people to shop local and consider making future bookings and buying vouchers now for local shops, pubs and restaurants to get some much needed cashflow into local business.

What can you do to help your club through this difficult and uncertain period? There are a number of things we would ask you to consider:

As already announced, the Treasure Chest has been temporarily suspended. If you participated in this (or even if you didn’t!) you can join our monthly 50:50 draw which is available at £10 per month per entry. Further details on how to join can be obtained by messaging through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or email (

We are always on the lookout for additional sponsorship with pitchside boards and many other options available. If you wish to support the club through sponsorship of by way of a one-off financial donation, please message us through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or email (

Depending on the extent of future restrictions placed upon us all, we will have all our close season jobs to do - albeit over an extended period. If you're able to help ensure that we are ready to go once the football starts again, we'd love to see you. We'll set out more on this in the weeks ahead.

With your help, we are determined to guide your club through these difficult times and hopefully post COVID19 and in the very near future we will see you back at Prestonfield.

Hail The Gallant
