Following a vote by member clubs, the 2020/21 season has been declared null and void
info will appear soon
As we draw the curtain on a frustrating season, we start to look forward to next season and the hope that we’ll see the impact of the pandemic recede and welcome supporters back into Prestonfield. Before then there will be some comings and goings as there always are at this time of year but one player we know will be leaving us is Colin Strickland and it’s right that we should reflect on the fantastic contribution Coco has made to the club.
Coco joined us at the start of the 2010/11 season and apart from a spell at Bo’ness in 2016/17, has banged in goals for the Rose. Beyond that, he’s been part of a brilliant front pairing with Tommy Coyne and nobody knows better than TC how important a player Coco has been in bringing out his best.
As well as his contribution on the pitch, Coco has been a fantastic lad to have in the dressing room – pragmatic with a great sense of humour but underpinned by a real desire to win football matches. Whilst he undoubtedly has a future in the game as a coach, Coco wants to continue to play regularly and to that end he’ll take time to look at where he wants to go next on his football journey. On behalf of everyone at the club I want to thank Coco for his efforts and for what he has given back to the club that goes unseen on a Saturday. He’ll not be a stranger at Prestonfield that’s for sure and we’ll look forward to catching up with him when he’s able to get along to a game. I’ll finish with a few words from Coco on his time at the Rose.
“It’s been a pleasure and an honour representing this fantastic club over the last 10 years. It’s with a heavy heart that I’ll be moving on and I would like to wish the club every success going forward. I’d like to thank the gaffer for giving me the opportunity to work and learn under him over the last 18 months. And of course I want to thank the supporters who have been fantastic with me over the years. I’ve made many good friends and many great memories. Thanks for everything and Hail The Gallant!!”
WE'RE BUILDING THE LINLITHGOW ROSE FAMILY WALL!!
We're really pleased to introduce our latest fundraising initiative - the Linlithgow Rose Family Wall.
We've designated the walls inside our turnstiles at the East end of the stadium as our new Family Wall and we want to give you the chance to become a permanent part of the fabric of Linlithgow Rose. Whether for yourself, as a gift to someone special (who's got everything!) or to remember someone who spent many happy times at Prestonfield watching their beloved Linlithgow Rose.
The new bricks will be charcoal with silver engraving so they'll really stand out. The cost of each brick together with a certificate of thanks from the football club in your name or that of your nominee is £100.
We're taking orders now so contact us at or through the contact options on the website and we'll get an order form out to you for completion.
